Hello, everybody~! Minah here~! 😉 🙂 *smiles happily & waves hello* Today, I volunteered with my Youth Group at an AWESOME place called Shalom Farms! It was a TON of fun~! 🙂 😀 *smiles happily* Let me tell you about it!
My Youth Group and I volunteered there from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM! At Shalom Farms, we got an AMAZING tour of the farm (which was SPECTACULAR), we learned about what they’re trying to do, we planted lettuce + cabbage (which was fun, for the MOST part), we weeded the carrot patches (which took practically FOREVER & was VERY boring), and we had PLENTY of fun! 🙂 😀 *smiles happily*
My favorite part was, most likely, the tour of the farm! They had a couple of greenhouses, a TON of crops as well as PLENTY of planting space, a HUGE compost pile, bee-houses, a silo (at least, I THINK it was a silo), a little area where they told us about the farm & what they’re trying to do, and a couple of buildings! 🙂 *smiles* It was SUPER cool!!
Also, while I was there, they were in the process of building a BRAND-NEW building! 🙂 *smiles* One of my Youth Group leaders asked one of the staff members about it, and she said that it was going to be a “Volunteer Pavilion.” She said that it was going to be a place/building where volunteers can hang out, rest, take a break, and et cetera while they were volunteering at the farm. Inside the “Volunteer Pavilion,” there was going to be bathrooms (I THINK she said bathrooms), benches + picnic tables, a hand-washing station, a place to fill up water bottles, and more! Doesn’t that sound awesome? 🙂 😀 *smiles excitedly* I’m 100% sure that it’s going to turn out GREAT!!
Anyway, today was a TON of fun (as you can OBVIOUSLY tell)! 🙂 *smiles* I REALLY hope that you have enjoyed this post! 😉 *hopeful face* Don’t forget to leave a like, comment, & follow my blog! See you later, wanderers~! BYE~!!! 😉 🙂 😀 *smiles & waves goodbye*
