Good morning, everybody~! Minah here~! 😉 🙂 😀 *smiles & waves hello* Recently, I have FINALLY returned from my Girl Scout camping trip!! YAY~!!! 🙂 😀 *smiles happily & celebrates* It was a TON of fun~! 🙂 *smiles* In this post, I shall be telling you ALL about my camping trip! 😀 *smiles excitedly* Let’s get started, shall we?
My Camping Trip
of April 2017
* We (meaning my Girl Scout troop & I) went camping at Pamunkey Ridge Girl Scout Camp! It’s a REALLY cool camp, that we’ve camped at PLENTY of times before! 🙂 *smiles* We went camping for 3 days, from Friday (April 28th) to Sunday (April 30th)! 🙂 😀 *smiles happily* We arrived at the camp on Friday afternoon (around 4:00 PM) and we left the camp on Sunday morning (around 9 o’clock or 10 o’clock AM).
* We camped in cabins. My Girl Scout troop and I camped in Cabin #5! 🙂 *smiles* The problem with the cabins, though, was that there was NO electricity, NO air-conditioning, NO WiFi, not even the CEILING FANS worked!! 😦 *frowns & sighs* So, we were BURNING UP because of the SCORCHING HEAT!! There were ceiling fans in ALL of the cabins, but NONE of them worked because there was no electricity! 😦 *frowns* Only 2 of the cabins had electricity, in case of emergencies. Unfortunately, Cabin #5 was NOT one of the two “electricity-blessed” cabins… 😦 *sighs & frowns again* Not to mention that MOST of the cabins didn’t even have ACTUAL windows!! MOST of the cabins (including OUR cabin) just had screen windows with large wood planks on the outside acting as a way to “close” the window… 😦 *frowns again* But other than that, the cabins were fine.
* The camp activities were FAIRLY GREAT & pretty FUN!! 🙂 😀 *smiles happily* MY troop didn’t do ALL of the activities, but we did a couple of them. The activities we participated were: canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, archery, creating trail-mix, a group bonfire (MY troop was actually IN CHARGE of the camp bonfire), and creating so-called “tropical” smoothies! 🙂 *smiles* They were pretty fun~!
* At the camp, the people in charge of the camp provided us (the Girl Scouts) with breakfast + lunch everyday. Let’s just say… The meals that they served were NOT delicious NOR filling… 😦 *frowns & sighs* The breakfasts & lunches that they served were BLAND, BORING, and NOT filling WHATSOEVER!! 😦 *frowns again* However, each Girl Scout troop were in charge of cooking their own dinners! MY Girl Scout troop had some pretty AMAZINGLY AWESOME dinners!!! YAY~!!! 🙂 😀 *smiles happily* We cooked + ate tacos with salads (the 1st night) and chicken with vegetables/salads (the 2nd night)! They were SOOO good~!! 🙂 😀 *smiles happily* We cooked some ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC dinners!
